Chaos as Curriculum Football is not a fixed script, it is a living, ever-evolving, chaotic environment. Too often, coaches mistake “chaos” for a lack of organisation, when in fact chaos can be the learning tool itself. Structuring uncertainty is the truest form of preparation. A 2v3 transitional practice, a game where the ball size suddenly changes, or a practice where the coach remains silent; these moments force players to perceive, adapt, and act without relying on external intervention.
